Super Pet Festivals

Many countries in the world organize a varied of celebrations with the theme of pet. No matter for love or fun, these celebrations bring love to pets. Now, I want to introduce these celebrations to you.


Just for dogs!


England &America Walking the Dog Day 22nd Feb



The United States and the United Kingdom established a walk day although people walk their dog every day. People are asked to walk their dog on this day.

International Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day – 23rd Feb



It’s set up for dogs and thanks for their company and loyalty. They deserve delicious biscuits and your love on this day.

America Don’t Step on Shit Day 25th April



Always some people seems irresponsible to their dog, humorous Americans set up the day to caustic these people and remind people don’t step on shit.

International Guide Dog Day The last Wednesday in April



Guide dogs bring convenience to blind person and keep them safe, so this is a festival full of thanksgiving.

Japan The Cat’s Day 22nd Feb



Cats are noble and sacred in Japan. So it’s not a surprise that the cat’s day was set up. A wide variety of activities of cats will be held in the annual February 22.

This holiday originated in the late 1980s when Japan’s economic is in decline and the rich man abandoned their pets. It’s become a serious social problem that stray cats and dogs propagate in a rapid way. Some caring people came up with an idea that set up a festival to call on people to be kind to animals.

In this festival, people all over Japan will hold many kinds of activities to celebrate. For example, they will hold a photographic exhibition of their favorite photos of cats.

There was a mayor wearing a cat coat to interact with the masses in order to win votes, sounds very interesting and easygoing.

Belgium Kattenstoet



May 10, 2015, the 44th "throwing the cat's Day" was held in Ypres which is the ancient town of the western Belgian. In that day, more than 50,000 visitors from around the world were attracted together to celebrate the holiday. Streets are full of posters of cats. Costume parade is usually started at 15 o’clock. The parades lined with square, tell about the cat's history, traditions and stories by performance and models. Many young girls dressed up as cat.


The biggest bright spot of the festival is watching throwing the cat, actually it’s not a real cat. After the parade, a clown who dressed in red and white will throw a black plush toy cat from the platform of the tower.


Italy National Cat Day 17th February


The national cat day of Rome is annual February 17. It was set up because of the local people’s love for cats. According to the survey, the number of cats in Rome currently has more than 300,000.

In Rome, you can find cat everywhere. Historically, cats always remind people of magic, sounds amazing.

Now, cats have become the symbol of Rome and Rome citizens.
